How to use this calculator
Choose the first workweek's start date and fill the two seven-day sections. Calculate to see each week separately and the combined period. Keep each workweek aligned with your employer's definition.
A worked example
A first week of 45 hours and second week of 35 hours total 80 hours. Under a selected 40-hour weekly threshold, the first week has 5 overtime hours; the second has none.
The calculation
Period total = week one minutes + week two minutes. Any overtime estimate must be calculated separately for each workweek.
Before you use the result
A pay period is not an overtime averaging period. Overnight shifts crossing a weekly boundary must be split. This timecard totals time; use the overtime estimator for explicitly stated pay assumptions.
