Privacy & Device Data
How Shift Ledger handles your calculator entries, device storage, advertising cookies, and connection data.
Reviewed 2026-09-30. This notice describes how this site handles calculator data, device storage, and advertising.
Calculator entries
Time entries, hourly rates, and PTO values are processed in your browser. The application does not send these fields to a calculation API, place them in URLs, or store them in a server database.
Optional device storage
You can choose to save a draft in browser local storage. It stays in that browser profile until you clear it or the browser removes it. Use the calculator's Clear saved data control to remove its draft. Reset affects the current form and is a different action. Clearing browser site data removes all local drafts.
Local storage is not an encrypted vault. Avoid saving private entries on a shared device. Downloaded CSV, JSON, and printed/PDF copies are managed by you and are not removed when you clear a browser draft.
Advertising and cookies
This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or other Google advertising partners. These third-party ad services may set cookies on your device to serve personalized ads, measure ad performance, and limit how often you see an ad. Cookies set by Google advertising partners are subject to Google's partner site policies.
Google AdSense uses the DoubleClick cookie to enable ad serving, frequency capping, and reporting. This cookie does not identify you personally. You can manage ad personalization and opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings. Opting out does not remove ads — it only stops personalized ad targeting.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, a consent banner will request your permission before non-essential cookies are set. You may withdraw consent at any time by revisiting the consent settings linked in the page footer. If you are in California, you may exercise your CCPA right to opt out of the sale of personal information by adjusting your ad personalization settings at adssettings.google.com.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (tag G-SN09Z0CCTS) to measure site usage in aggregate. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users and track page views. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and does not identify individual visitors. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Hosting and external links
Loading the website sends ordinary connection information, including your IP address and requested page, to Vercel. Your host's log retention and other data practices must be reviewed before deployment. Following an external source or an email link brings you under that service's practices.
