How to use this calculator

Enter total paid time and base rate, then the time eligible for a premium. Choose a flat extra dollar amount per hour or a percentage of the base hourly rate.

A worked example

40 hours at $20 plus a $2-per-hour premium on 16 hours gives $800 base pay + $32 premium = $832 estimated gross.

The calculation

Total = base pay for all minutes + premium rate × eligible minutes ÷ 60. Percent premium rate = base rate × percent ÷ 100.

This is an additive premium estimate. It does not compute overtime or establish legal entitlement. Premiums can affect the regular rate used for overtime; consult the actual policy and applicable rules.
