A worked example
40 hours at $20 per hour gives $800.00 gross. For 7 hours 45 minutes at $20, gross is $155.00.
The calculation
Estimated gross pay = exact paid minutes ÷ 60 × hourly rate; round the final amount to cents.
Before you use the result
This simple estimate excludes overtime, shift premiums, bonuses, taxes, tips, deductions, and employer rounding. It does not estimate take-home pay.
