How to use this calculator
Enter durations, not clock times. Use a separate row for each duration and choose addition or subtraction. Remaining minutes must be from 0 to 59.
A worked example
7 hours 45 minutes + 8 hours 20 minutes − 30 minutes = 15 hours 35 minutes, or 15.58 decimal hours.
The calculation
Signed total = sum of each row's sign × (hours × 60 + minutes).
Before you use the result
A negative result is a duration difference, not a negative clock time. The calculator does not infer dates, AM/PM, or shift boundaries.
