A worked example
$20 per hour × 40 hours per week × 52 paid weeks = $41,600 per year. A 35-hour, 48-week schedule at the same rate gives $33,600.
The calculation
Annual hours = hours/week × paid weeks/year. Annual pay = hourly rate × annual hours. Hourly equivalent = annual salary ÷ annual hours.

The schedule is an assumption, not a promise of paid work. Benefits, overtime, unpaid leave, taxes, and job classification are not included. Weekly equivalent is annual pay divided by entered paid weeks.
