How to use this calculator

Choose clock-out or break return. For clock-out, enter the shift start, the paid duration you want to complete, and all unpaid break minutes. For break return, enter the time your break starts and its length.

A worked example

Start at 8:15 AM, work 8 paid hours, and take 30 unpaid minutes: clock out at 4:45 PM. A 30-minute break starting at 11:50 PM ends at 12:20 AM the next day.

The calculation

Clock-out = start + paid target + unpaid breaks. Break return = break start + break duration.

Before you use the result

This is schedule arithmetic, not permission to leave work or a recommendation about break entitlement. The output uses wall-clock time and states date rollover.

Common scenarios

Use this calculator whenever you need to verify your hours, check a paycheck, or prepare a timecard submission. The result is the same arithmetic the payroll department uses, displayed in a form you can inspect.

Common questions about Clock-Out Calculator

How do I calculate my clock-out time?

Enter your start time, paid hours target, and unpaid break minutes. The calculator adds your target time plus breaks to give your exact clock-out time.

Does the clock-out time account for lunch?

Yes. Add your unpaid break minutes and the calculator extends your clock-out time accordingly. A 30-minute unpaid lunch pushes your end time 30 minutes later.
